FAQ/RULES
What is this? Basically, it's an open sandbox based on the BIG BROTHER TELEVISION SHOW. Kind of like an informal DR/Game. There are no apps, just claims. No AC either, but squatting is forever not cool. What restrictions for claims are there? Any fandom or OC character over the age of 18 are allowed. We do not allow any child characters due to the way the game tends to dissolve and the fact that cameras will be watching them do everything. We will, however, accepted 'aged-up' characters so long as the icons are no longer children/can pass for 18 and there is some change to them maturity-wise. Please note this in your taken form. What about duplicates? Only if there is a canon background to them (such as BBC!Sherlock and Ritchie!Sherlock) and if the owners of the established duplicate agrees. On that note, no more Sherlocks at this time, please. What about drops? There is no AC and the game pacing is slow (1 IC day = 7 OOC days), so characters aren't monitored. If you feel like you're squatting and need to drop, however, you can make a note in the claims section in order to be removed. How do my characters get here? Wibbly wobbly, panfandom game kidnapping excuse. They 'wake up' in the house already. Things of some personal value are in their rooms along with clothes. Can I port CR/MEMORIES from other games? Yes. Just say so in the claims comment. Is there a network? Nope. They have to deal with each other face to face. Who are the mods? Effy ( Can they bring pets/animals? Nope. How does this work? in bullets, because lazy. What do you mean by tasks? Weekly challenges decided by big brother. The actual challenges are going to be settled via RNG and the winner of the tasks gets EXEMPTED from eviction. What is the diary room? Basically, a place for characters to talk about what they're experiencing/vent to Big Brother itself (the mods will play with you!). It's a small room with a single chair (the last pic on the locations) and a Big Brother eye. They can also just go there to be alone, if needed. It's also where people are told to go when their eviction is announced. What about powers? Powers are allowed, but may be nerfed a bit depending on the character. Someone like Peter Parker would keep all of his abilities like climbing walls, agility, etc. Someone with godmoddy abilities like Castiel would have his abilities suppressed enough that he couldn't leave the BB House. If characters are found to be abusing their powers too much, they will have them taken away fully. What if my character doesn't cooperate with tasks/being evicted? That's fine! There will be an IC penalty :) Can my character die/kill someone? Yep! If your character dies, their body will remain for approx. 3 hours (1 OOC day) before disappearing entirely. They will be revived and find themselves stumbling out of the diary room as good as new! What is eviction? Again, it's the penalty that is incurred to a person via vote. There will be a BB post announcing who is evicted, telling them to go to the diary room. Other players may respond to that post (doing their boos, creys, etc.) but only the evicted character will have BB respond to them. If and when they're in the diary room, there will be a short interview before they're transported right into their personal version of Hell. It should not be a fun experience for them and should be at least mildly traumatic. It's up to you whether or not you want to post a solo describing it, it's certainly not required that you do so. |
